About Buddle Findlay

We are an internationally recognised, full service law firm with offices in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. Buddle Findlay has more than 180 lawyers, including 42 partners, plus a national support team.

Our highly experienced partnership brings energy and enthusiasm to New Zealand’s legal market. We’re focused on our clients and their businesses and are dedicated to providing expert advice. We are acknowledged as a market leader in building effective and innovative partnerships with our clients. In fact, our clients tell us we have a reputation as pragmatic, solution focused and approachable advisers.

In the community

At Buddle Findlay, corporate social responsibility is not just a nice ‘add-on’. Giving back to our community through charitable involvement and pro bono work is a fundamental element of the way we do business. We are proud to support hospitals in caring for children through our own Buddle Findlay Child Health Foundation which is in its ninth year and has given more than $760,000 in contributions since 2005. We also sponsor the Buddle Findlay Negotiation Competition, an undergraduate law student competition held throughout New Zealand universities.

Pro bono

Buddle Findlay recognises the difficulty some community organisations have in accessing legal services. We encourage our lawyers to assist pro bono clients in any area where they have expertise. Many of our partners and staff are also involved in community boards, committees and charitable trusts. Just some of the community clients we support include CCS Disability Action Auckland, Dress for Success, Kaibosh, Laura Fergusson Trust, Save the Children New Zealand and Volunteer Army Foundation.

"Right from the beginning I've been involved in exciting work for some great clients. The work is varied and at times pretty challenging but you get rewarded. The teams are supportive and encouraging."
Alexandra Wallace, Senior Solicitor, Auckland
